On June 9, 2023, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, AmCham Romania invites the business community and entrepreneurs in the Cluj area to a social evening featuring a fireside chat with Andrei Pitiș, tech entrepreneur, angel investor and advisor. Whether you call the Cluj region home or only travel here for the Tecshylvania experience, we look forward to seeing you!

For the 2023 AmCham engagement with the local community in Transylvania's most vibrant economic hub, we've partnered with Techsylvania, the largest tech event in the region, and look forward to welcoming the business community to an evening of good spirits, networking opportunities, and talks with Andrei Pitiș, our guest speaker. About our Guest Speaker

With over 30 years of experience in the IT industry in Romania and the United States, Andrei Pitiș is a tech entrepreneur, angel investor and advisor with five successful international exits.

Andrei graduated from Politehnica University of Bucharest, Faculty of Computer Science and passionately started working in the software industry early on. He founded his first company in his early 20s, a Silicon Valley-based start-up together with two other partners. In 2005, Andrei held the position of Romania Country Manager of IXIA, a leading provider of performance test systems for IP-based infrastructure and services operating in over 30 countries worldwide. He then founded and exited from Vector Watch, a disruptive 30 days battery life smartwatch. After the exit, Andrei held the position of VP of Product and heading the Romanian and Belarus Development Centers at Fitbit, until august 2020.

Andrei served two terms in a row as elected President of ANIS - the most active Romanian software association.

Andrei is also passionate about growing the young entrepreneurial tech community in Romania, founding in 2012 Innovation Labs, a leading national program teaching students to design and develop self-sustainable start-ups. Andrei is also the co-founder of Tech Angels, the first network for business angels in Romania, being an active investor and business advisor for several Eastern European start-ups. 

In 2019, Andrei Pitis founded Simple Capital, a private investment vehicle, interested in financing tech product startups and companies with high growth and interested in expanding on the global market. Currently the portfolio has over 30 startups.
