Raiffeisen Bank

Raiffeisen Bank is a top universal bank on the Romanian market. The Bank provides a complete range of high quality products and services to private individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and large companies, via multiple distribution channels: 419 outlets across the country, more than 900 ATMs, 20,000 POS, 220 multifunctional machines, phone-banking (Raiffeisen Direct), mobile-banking (myBanking) and internet banking (Raiffeisen Online).

Raiffeisen Bank Romania resulted from the merger in June 2002 of the two banks held by Raiffeisen Group on the local market: Raiffeisenbank (Romania) S.A., established in 1998 as a subsidiary of RZB Austria, and Banca Agricola Raiffeisen S.A., established in April 2001 after the take-over of the Romanian state-owned Banca Agricola by the Austrian group. 

Raiffeisen Bank services almost 2 million retail customers, over 91,000 SMEs and 5,700 large corporate. The Bank has various specialized units such as the”retail agency” that services individuals and SMEs. On the corporate side, Raiffeisen Bank services companies with an annual turnover exceeding EUR 5 million, public entities and financial institutions. The corporate customers are also serviced through dedicated regional centres established in major cities, this way the customers receiving consultancy services and tailor-made products from their dedicated banking specialists throughout the entire country.
