Depozitarul Central provides safekeeping, settlement and registration services for securities traded on the regulated markets or alternative trading systems. Also provides cross-border settlements for international securities registered in 20 markets, in 13 different currencies. As ANNA (Association of National Numbering Agencies) member, Depozitarul Central is the sole institution within Romania authorised to allocate and manage ISIN and CFI codes. In addition it provides notary services for holders of financial instruments, corporate actions services, general meeting and other communication services. Depozitarul Central is one of the pioneers in Target2-Securities (a new European securities settlement platform which aims to offer centralized delivery-versus-payment (DvP) settlement in central bank money across all European securities markets) and will be part of the first migration wave.
