Beko Romania

Beko Romania, leading player in the local home appliance market, manages the consumer brands Arctic, Beko, Whirlpool, Grundig, Indesit and Hotpoint, and is part of the Beko B.V. group. With almost €400 million invested in its production facilities in Romania since 2002, Beko Romania has significantly expanded its production capacity and integrated sustainability at the core of its business model. Currently, the company exports 84% of its total production to more than 80 countries.

Beko Romania owns two of the largest home appliance factories in continental Europe. The Găești factory that has produced over 44 million refrigeration units to date, and the Ulmi washing machine factory, Romania’s first Industry 4.0 facility, equipped with the latest technologies in robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and process automation. Due to its sustainability performance, the Ulmi factory was designated by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as one of the world’s greenest production centers, receiving the Sustainability Lighthouse status, one of the few of its kind in Europe.
