UiPath, the leading Robotic Process Automation (RPA) company, announces the availability to support Romanian public sector organizations in combating the Covid-19 spread and managing the effects of the crisis. UiPath provides hospitals with free licenses and end-to-end technical support in order to use the UiPath RPA platform in their day-to-day activities, as well as access to already-created automations. The offer is also extended to those institutions and organizations in the public sector that manage the effects of the crisis caused by the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

In the digital age, repetitive, time-consuming activities without major added value can be delegated to software robots, which, with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), can perform complex tasks without interruption and without errors. Capable of processing very large volumes of information quickly and accurately, software robots could become digital assistants to medical staff and officials. The measures announced by UiPath are valid until September 30, with the possibility to extend the term throughout the pandemic.

UiPath has already identified internationally hot spots in the public sector where automation is a fast and efficient solution, and in Romania it can attend, among others, to:

 - Reception of patients in emergency units - by automating the patient registration formalities, the auxiliary medical staff will be able to reduce waiting times. Where possible, software robots can access a variety of patient histories and applications by providing vital information to physicians in the shortest possible time.

- Facilitating support to vulnerable categories of people - processing the record level of electronic applications for social support can be automated and solutions can be released quickly and without errors.

In addition to the direct support measures, UiPath appealed to the largest RPA community in the world, and its members responded to the call launched in mid-March to help organizations that are on the front line in the fight against the widespread Covid-19 and of limiting the effects of the crisis. To date, over 100 developers have announced that they want to contribute their time and expertise to developing automation solutions for organizations around the world, including participating in hackathons.
