• AmCham Romania does not have exclusive U.S. membership. International and Romanian companies, regardless of their business sector and size willing to adhere to the organization’s values and mission are welcome to join the AmCham community.
• AmCham Romania is a financially independent organization, apolitical, governed by the General Assembly of Members, in accordance with the applicable Romanian legislation.
• AmCham Romania is an accredited member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and a member of the European network- AmChams in Europe.
• AmCham was one of the earliest promoters of corporate social responsibility in Romania, launching CSR programs since 2003 to encourage companies to engage in their community’s problems. In partnership with Asociaţia pentru Relaţii Comunitare AmCham has organized CSR focused conferences, best practices exchanges, and public private consultations. To acknowledge companies, organizations and individuals whose CSR initiatives stand out and make significant changes for better in communities throughout the country, beginning with 2003, AmCham Romania and Asociatia pentru Relatii Comunitare, have also organized the People for People Gala, the event that has continued to tell and award great stories of generosity and impact with each of its 14^th editions so far.
• The Bucharest International Arbitration Court – BIAC (https://bucharestarbitration.org/ an independent Romania-based court of arbitration was established under the auspices of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham Romania, aiming to assist business persons as well as local and multinational companies doing business in Romania, with respect to the adjudication of all types of contractual disputes between parties which have a presence in Romania, including parties which have concluded contracts in a language other than Romanian.
