Regional law firm Wolf Theiss has added two Senior Lawyers to its TMT (Technology, Media, Telecom) and Data Protection team in Romania, both of whom have extensive experience in the telecom industry.
Ligia Berbecar, Senior Associate, has over 20 years of experience in the legal field, with particular focus on competition, commercial and regulatory affairs, as well as in data protection advisory work. Prior to joining Wolf Theiss, Ligia collaborated for many years with one of the largest telecom groups in Romania, where she coordinated the legal Support for Wholesale Services, Regulatory & Real Estate. Ligia holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Bucharest and also an EC Competition Law post graduate diploma offered by King’s College, London. She also holds a Master of Arts Certificate in EC Competition Law organized by the Centre of European Law, School of Law, King's College London. Ligia is also qualified as authorized mediator.
Dragoș Alexandroaiei, Senior Associate, has almost 20 years of experience in the legal field. Dragoș is an experienced business attorney, with particular expertise in telecom, commercial, intellectual property, competition and data privacy matters. Prior to joining Wolf Theiss, Dragoș worked with one of the largest telecom groups in Romania, where he advised on electronic communication contracts and regulations, licenses and authorizations, IPR matters such as trademarks & domain names disputes, brand licensing and assignments. Dragoș holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Alexandru Ioan Cuza Police Academy Law Faculty and a Civil and a Commercial Law post-graduate Diploma from the Police Academy “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” Bucharest. Dragoș is also qualified as an authorized mediator and as Trademark and Geographical Registration IP attorney.
