STOICA & Associates consolidates their team through new partner-level promotions

As a result of the outstanding professional results, Cristina Ioana FRÎNCU and Bogdan Mircea POPESCU were promoted as Partners of STOICA & Asociaţii.

Cristina Ioana FRÎNCU joined the STOICA & Asociaţii’s team in 2008. She graduated from the Faculty of Law, "Nicolae Titulescu" University and holds a Master's degree in Business Law at the Faculty of Law, "Nicolae Titulescu" University. She is a member of the Bucharest Bar Association in 2009.

Cristina assisted clients in advisory projects in real estate law, banking law, corporate, financing and operations on the capital market. She provided legal assistance and represented clients in civil law litigations, insolvency, enforcement proceedings and administrative and fiscal litigations. Cristina was also part of the team of lawyers advising the World Bank Group on the project "Real Estate - Fundamentals for National and European Policies" in the Operational Assistance Program (OPTA) - Priority Axis 1 in the first stage - Support for the implementation of structural instruments and program coordination (Output 3), as well as in the second phase - Assistance in the drafting of legislation in the field of cadastre and real estate (Output 6).

Bogdan Mircea POPESCU joined the STOICA & Asociaţii team in 2009, graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest and the French-Romanian Law College for European Studies– Faculty of Law, Bucharest University (Romania)/Université Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne (France). Bogdan holds a Master's degree in Criminal Law - Faculty of Law, University of Montpellier 1. He is a member of the Bucharest Bar Association since 2009.

As a pleading lawyer, Bogdan Mircea POPESCU assisted and represented Romanian and foreign clients in civil law litigations, especially in IP dispute resolution cases in connection with trademarks, patents, intellectual property and other related rights. Moreover, he elaborated litigation strategies and represented clients in administrative and fiscal contentious matters, unfair competition and banking issues. In connection with competition law, Bogdan assisted clients in the investigations carried out by the Competition Council in various industries (recycling of electronic products, pharmaceuticals) with regard to alleged beaches of competition law rules (e.g. cartels, abuse of dominant position, economic concentrations etc.) and rendered legal assistance with regard to distribution contracts generating competition law issues. Moreover, he assisted and represented clients before the international arbitration courts.
