RTPR announces new promotions in their team of lawyers. Andreea Nedeloiu, Bianca Eremia, Raluca Tudoroiu and Vicu Buzac were promoted to Senior Associates, and Andrada Rusan as Managing Associate. Ioana Ilie, Petrus Partene and Andrei Costea become Associates.

Andreea Nedeloiu (Chiriac) joined RTPR in 2012. Andreea specialises in banking & finance, having been involved in some of the most high-profile banking & finance transactions on the Romanian market. She assisted many clients operating in regulated industries, banks and international financial institutions. Andreea is recommended as Rising Star in the most recent edition of Legal 500 and as Notable Practitioner in IFLR1000 2021. Andreea was part of the team that advised Barclays Bank and Bank of New York Mellon on the first mortgage bonds programme in Romania issued by Alpha Bank Romania with a value of EUR 1 billion.

Bianca Eremia has been part of RTPR’s team since 2010. Bianca has extensive experience in banking and finance, advising both domestic and international banks and financial institutions, as well as borrowers on various complex banking and finance transactions, which involved syndicated or bilateral financings, municipal loans, public debt, public procurement, perfection of guarantees and securities related matters, advice on regulated sectors. Bianca assisted Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) on financing matters in the context of its acquisition of a portfolio of power assets owned by CEZ Group in Romania.

Raluca Tudoroiu has over 8 years’ experience in dispute resolution, advising and representing international and domestic companies in dispute resolution, especially in the fields of commercial litigation, civil and corporate law, administrative law, construction law and tax. She managed several arbitration proceedings related to public procurement. Raluca also has extensive experience in compliance and regulatory matters, consumers’ protection law and gambling law. Recently Raluca was involved in an arbitration before the LCIA (The London Court of International Arbitration) which ruled in favour of our client, an important company in the energy sector.

Vicu Buzac joined RTPR in 2014. Vicu specialises in litigation, having extensive experience in international arbitration in various sectors (banking and finance, construction and real estate, M&A, oil and gas), as well as commercial and intellectual property disputes. He often sits as a tribunal secretary in various international arbitrations cases, for world renowned arbitrators. Vicu also specialises in data protection matters. Vicu successfully represented the most important Hollywood studios in several litigation cases regarding the protection of their copyright in Romania, including in the first site blocking case which has ever been tried in Central and Eastern Europe, by suing internet service providers with the aim of blocking pirate movies websites.

Andrada Rusan joined RTPR in 2014, at the beginning of her career. Her core area of expertise is commercial litigation, particularly in the competition, unfair competition and intellectual property fields. Andrada advises and assists clients in these areas of law and she also represents them in investigations of the competition authority. Andrada also has solid experience in corporate law, having provided legal advice with respect to commercial agreements in the context of several sizeable corporate transactions. Her recent professional successes include a favourable preliminary decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union regarding the clarification of the “consumer" concept for unprofessional investors trading on financial instruments platforms, which will contribute to a more predictable framework for trading and to the development of EU law.

Ioana Ilie, Petrus Partene and Andrei Costea provide legal advice and representation to local and international companies from various sectors of activity in transactions in various practice areas, including mergers and acquisitions, financing, capital markets, competition law, data protection, as well as litigation.
