LEONI Beiuș consolidates LEONI Romania's position as a pole of excellence in the production of automotive wiring systems.
Globally, LEONI is one of the leading manufacturers of wiring systems and components for the automotive industry, with operations in 28 countries and over 95,000 employees. More than 10% of the group's total workforce is located in Romania, where LEONI started its activities in 1999.
In over 24 years of presence on the local market, LEONI Romania has become one of the main exporters in the automotive industry and a major national employer, distinguished by quality and production excellence recognized by its customers.
The Beiuș factory is dedicated to the production of classic automotive wiring systems. The investment in the factory is €17.5 million and represents the cost of rehabilitating a building that has been put back into production and the cost of the state-of-the-art equipment used. LEONI renovated and refurbished the premises to international standards.
Equally important is the investment made in training people - production operators, technicians and engineers - an investment that will make the region's workforce better trained and more integrated into today's labour market landscape.
"LEONI is investing in plans to strengthen the company's presence in Romania even in times of high socio-economic unpredictability. By developing production capabilities and stabilizing operations for the long term, LEONI remains committed to maintaining our country as a hub of talent, innovation and expertise in wiring systems manufacturing." - says Andrada Verdeș, Country Manager LEONI Wiring Systems Romania.
