We are proud to inform you about our second inauguration of a new Laboratory at the MoD School for Communications, Information Technology and Cyber Defense Training, from Sibiu, on 7th of May 2025.
The inauguration was attended by Lieutenant General Cristian Daniel Dan, Commander of the NATO Multinational Corps South-East Command, Colonel Gheorghe Spoială, Chief of Staff of the Communications and Informatics Command, Cristian Ghimfus, General Director and Founder of STARC4SYS, representatives from the Special Telecommunications Service and from the National Authority for Administration and Regulation in Communications - ANCOM.
The School for Communications, Information Technology and Cyber Defense Training inaugurated today the specialized laboratory titled "Spectrum and GPS Signal Monitoring." This modern facility, equipped to the highest standards, is designed to support the training and development process of students and military trainees by providing direct access to state-of-the-art technology.
Its setup was made possible through the joint efforts of the Training School, the Communications and IT Command, and the company STARC4SYS.
The laboratory was conceived as an advanced training environment, where students and trainees can learn to identify, analyze, and manage signals within the electromagnetic spectrum, as well as detect interference or threats that may affect GPS systems. Through the integration of high-performance equipment and specialized applications, students and trainees will have the opportunity to become familiar with techniques used in real-world monitoring and protection operations of communications infrastructure.
The inauguration was attended by Lieutenant General Cristian Daniel Dan, Commander of the NATO Southeast Multinational Corps Command; Colonel Gheorghe Spoială, Chief of Staff of the Communications and IT Command; Cristian Ghimfus, CEO of STARC4SYS; representatives from the Special Telecommunications Service; and the National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM).
Colonel Gheorghe Serban, Commander of the Training School, expressed his gratitude to all attendees and contributors for supporting the creation of this essential laboratory, which aims to prepare students and trainees in developing strong technical skills aligned with the current demands of the modern operational field.
This strong and consolidated partnership with TCI Internațional Inc. will bring new opportunities in enhancing the security of România, along with with raising the capabilities in electromagnetic spectrum monitoring, in both military and civilian specific domain.
