The Hungary–Romania logistics corridor is one of the main trade routes in Central and Eastern Europe, with Hungary playing a strategic role as a regional hub for the transit and distribution of goods originating from Western Europe, while Romania represents an important destination market. Cross-border trade flows are supported in particular by sectors such as e-commerce, the automotive industry and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). In addition, considering the expansion of railway lines on the China–Budapest route, access to simplified import options is becoming increasingly important for the Romanian business environment.
