Cortex XDR 3.0 - Next Has Arrived launch event on September 15th at 10am CEST

by Palo Alto Networks September 14, 2021

We are excited to share that we recently announced the release of our third generation XDR. In case you’re new to XDR, it stands for eXtended Detection and Response -- we pioneered the category back in 2019, and we proudly continue leading the charge in setting the bar for what XDR products should do.

Cortex XDR has continually proven to be the most effective means of preventing and detecting sophisticated cyber attacks like SolarStorm and those emulated by the MITRE ATT&CK Evaluations

The new release, Cortex XDR 3.0, is a huge leap forward -- it expands XDR’s industry-leading analytics to cloud and identity, and delivers a built-in forensics response toolkit, among other great innovations.

Specifically, XDR 3.0 delivers the following innovations in cross-data analytics and response capabilities:

  • XDR for cloud is what SOC teams need to extend detection, monitoring, and investigation into cloud environments
  • Cortex XDR Identity Analytics further enhances the UEBA functionality of detecting malicious user activities and insider threats
  • 3rd Party Data Engine offers customers the ability to ingest, normalize, correlate, query, and analyze data from any source
  • Cortex XDR Forensics Module delivers native forensic investigation capabilities used by the Palo Alto Networks Unit 42 team to our customers and partners
  • Our newly designed Incident Management Interface provides analysts with the complete story of an incident in one place

Our goal has always been to help security teams like yours use XDR to  solve any security operations use case -- from threat detection to investigation and response -- and we’re happy to announce that this release makes huge strides in making that a reality

To learn more, join us for our Next Has Arrived launch event on September 15th at 10am CEST. This launch event features a fascinating look at attacker tools and methods from the adversary’s perspective, and how we can help defenders do better. Featuring a riveting fireside chat with Chris Tarbell, (known for his Silk Road takedown), and Hector Monsegur, a former "Black Hat" who led the Anonymous/LulzSec hacking collective, this is one panel you don’t want to miss.

Hope you can join us!
