CMS is delighted to share the honours in the winning entry for the “Investment Deal of the Year” award at the SEE Property Forum Awards ceremony 2025, for the second consecutive year.
The SEE Property Forum Awards celebrate and recognise exceptional projects and significant achievements across the Real Estate industry in Romania. The awards are judged by some of the biggest names and key players in the real estate industry.
CMS was recognised with this award for its role advising L&C Properties, part of M Core, on the acquisition of seven strip malls in Romania from MAS P.L.C. The 32,000 sqm portfolio, in Slobozia, Focșani, Râmnicu Sărat, Târgu Secuiesc, Sebeș, Făgăraș, and Gheorgheni features 100% occupancy.
A multidisciplinary CMS team, led by Real Estate partner Roxana Fratila and Corporate M&A senior counsel Mircea Moraru advised L&C Properties on this transaction, which significantly expands M Core Group's retail presence in Romania.
Partner and Head of Real Estate & Construction at CMS Romania, Roxana Fratila, comments: “We are thrilled to share in this award, which recognises the excellent work delivered on a complex project and marks another major milestone for M Core on the Romanian market. We are proud to have played an important role in delivering this deal and my thanks go to our team for its work and dedication, and to M Core for their ongoing trust.”
M&A Senior Counsel at CMS Romania, Mircea Moraru, adds: “Congratulations to M Core and all who contributed to the winning entry. The award showcases the complexity of the deal, and also reflects M Core’s continued confidence in the strength and long-term prospects of Romania’s retail market.”
