AmCham Governance Hour #1: Board of Directors and Board Members’ Contribution and Impact

AmCham is pleased to announce the Governance Hour series, an initiative of the  AmCham Corporate Governance Committee. The five session series will focus on corporate governance aspects relevant for the business world. 

Various aspects will be addressed during the sessions:

• Board Directors – the guarantor of a successful mechanism of Corporate Governance (CG);
• Roles and responsibilities of independent directors and NEDS;
• Becoming Board Director: competencies and responsibilities;
• Principles of purpose-driven Boards: the ESG built-in on the Board agenda;
• Technology/ AI & Digital transformation on the Board agenda;
• Juridical perspectives on the role of Board Members;
• and the role of Nominating Committee.

During the first session on February 10, 2022, between 10:30 - 11:30 a.m., the invited guest Andrew Kakabadse, Professor of Governance and Leadership at Henley Business School will engage in a dialogue on the role of Boards of Directors and Board members’ contribution and impact within companies, co-hosted and moderated by Ciprian Lăduncă, Member of the AmCham Romania Board of Directors, Chair of the AmCham Corporate Governance Committee and Gabriela Hartescu, PhD, Dean, Member of the Board Envisia – Boards of Elite.
