Critical choices for leaders - perspective in a discussion with ASEBUSS and Kennesaw State professors and practitioners

At the beginning of July  AmCham Romania presented the results of the 2020 edition of the Business Barometer Survey. Compared with the previous edition, the responses to questions related to Romania’s competitive advantages, most valued market conditions and estimates for the business performance in 2020 indicate a depreciation of investors’ confidence in the Romanian business climate and moderate expectations about business results. 

Regarding the human capital, the survey indicates concerns in terms of availability of skilled labor force and match of competences with the labor market demand, which are the reasons for which 60% of the respondents characterize the situation of the labor market in their industry as being tensioned.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the world into exceptionally difficult and largely uncharted waters. The crisis is having a significant impact on the global economy and financial markets, with increased volatility and business disruption worldwide.

Concerns about the fair value of companies have emerged as valuation of illiquid investments and various asset classes has become challenging for asset managers given the current state of market uncertainty.

We will look at ways to remain competitive and the significance of capital markets on company value from both a macro and a micro perspective in a discussion with  ASEBUSS and Kennesaw State professors and practitioners.
