TMF Group, a leading provider of compliance and administrative services, has launched the 13th edition of the Global Business Complexity Index (GBCI).

The report analyses 81 jurisdictions, representing over 90% of the world’s economy, based on 292 indicators covering accounting, legal and employment requirements. It highlights the regulatory and administrative factors that impact the ease of doing business globally.

In this year’s ranking, Romania moved to 29th place, improving from previous years but still within the top 35% of more complex jurisdictions. This points to a market with solid fundamentals, while further progress in reducing complexity remains an opportunity.
