“America is ready to welcome and assist investors from all industries and regions across the globe”, the President of the United States in his video address to the participants at the SelectUSA Investment Summit
Between June 26 and 29, AmCham Romania was in Washington, D.C. for the 2022 SelectUSA Investment Summit. Following two online editions in 2020 and 2021, the Investment Summit returned to its in-person format this year.
For four days, the world met to do business at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center (National Harbor, MD), where more than 3 600 businesses from more than 70 international markets joined sessions on how to access the U.S. market as an international company and peer-to-peer discussions to identify global partners and set up business deals.
The Romanian private sector was well represented by a 22-company delegation organized by the U.S. Commercial Service of the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest, which AmCham gladly joined.
The speakers and panelists at this year’s Summit were joined by high representatives of the Biden-Harris Administration:
The Summit was organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce and hosted by the Hon. Gina M. Raimondo, United States Secretary of Commerce: “if you take away one point, one message from your stay here this week, it’s that the U.S. is wide open for business”.

Romanian businesses interested in accessing the U.S. market are strongly encouraged to make full use of available SelectUSA resources for investors, especially the 2022 SelectUSA Investor Guide.
