On Wednesday, September 14, 2022, from 5:00 pm (EET), the U.S. Commercial Service, in cooperation with Naftogaz (Ukraine’s national oil company), is hosting a complimentary webinar on clean green energy opportunities in Ukraine.

Ukraine offers huge renewable energy potential due to its geographical location and agricultural economy. More than 22 mtoe of biomass-to-energy potential is largely untapped. The wind energy sector, leveraging high wind areas and recent electrical grid integration into the EU provides promising opportunities for investors. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has had disruptive effects on Ukrainian energy sector in many ways, revealing both its energy vulnerability and potential.

Topics covered during this webinar will include: country overview (energy consumption, energy production), clean and green infrastructure and strategy, Biomass-to-Energy Program project pipeline (biomass to heat power, biomethane, wind power, energy efficiency), seeking financial and strategic partners.
