Wolf Theiss Invitation: WT Crypto Academy, 23.02.2021 - 26.02.2021

by Wolf Theiss Rechtsanwalte GmbH & Co KG January 13, 2021

We are delighted to invite you to our unique WT Crypto Academy, which will deal with the technological and economic aspects of crypto assets and blockchains on four consecutive evenings. The lecturer is a well-known expert in this field and has a wealth of hands-on experience. He will help you to assess the opportunities and risks of this new technology and to get a head start into this seemingly arcane topic.

A particular focus of the WT Crypto Academy will be on practical applications: We will look at a blockchain explorer, try out different wallets, open an account on a crypto exchange, set up the MetaMask browser plugin, trade assets on a decentralized exchange (DEX) utilizing automated market makers such as Uniswap and DEX aggregators such as 1inch, lend and borrow crypto assets on peer-to-protocol platforms such as Compound and AAVE, invest in fiat and crypto collateralized stable coins such as Tether and DAI, set up decentralized insurance against smart contract failure on Nexus Mutual, acquire units in decentralized investment funds on the TokenSets platform, buy synthetic assets on the blockchain such as gold and Tesla stock, analyze elastic supply assets such as Ampleforth, look at flash loans (unsecured and nearly unlimited loans with a duration of 15 seconds only), utilize tokenized Bitcoin on the Ethereum blockchain such as renBTC, and engage in yield farming and liquidity mining.

The sessions will be on four consecutive evenings from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. CET. The lecturer will be available for a further hour from 8 p.m. - 9 p.m. CET each evening, as part of an "Ask Me Anything" (AMA) session. The price tag for the four evenings (in total sixteen hours of condensed information) is EUR 200 + 20% VAT.
