Bucharest, July 25th, 2018 - Vodafone Romania announces the key performance indicators for the quarter ended June 30th, 2018, as reported today by Vodafone Group Plc.

Vodafone Romania had 9,638,486 total customers at June 30th, 2018, representing an increase of 0.6% as compared to the same period of last year. Out of the total number of customers, 8,903,562 were mobile customers.

Vodafone Romania’s mobile ARPU was Euro 6 over the three months ended on June 30th, 2018. Service revenues for the quarter ended June 30th, 2018, reached EUR 178.2 million and remained flat compared to the same quarter of the previous year, despite of negative impact of MTR from 0.96 eurocents/minute to 0.84 eurocents/minute for mobile voice calls.

At June 30th, 2018, mobile postpaid customers represented 41.4%, and prepaid customers 58.6% of the total mobile base. The postpaid users in the base increased by 0.9 percentage points as compared to same period, last year.

Data usage increased by 68% for the quarter ended June 30th, 2018, compared to the same period of last year.

“During the past quarter, we continued to take steps towards becoming a fully convergent player as we were able to close a wholesale agreement based on which we will launch fixed-mobile packages. Once finalized, the acquisition of UPC Romania will allow us to further strengthen our fixed-mobile capability. We also focused on offering our customers the best network both in Romania, but also in roaming as shown by the Best network for roaming in Europe recognition from Speedtest by Ookla”, stated Murielle Lorilloux, CEO Vodafone Romania.

At June 30th, 2018, Vodafone Romania had 9,638,486 total customers, out of which 8,903,562 mobile users, 574,765 M2M customers and 160,159 fixed line users.
