Vargha Moayed joined EY Romania to lead the local Advisory Services practice, taking over from Saulius Adomaitis, EY Advisory Markets Leader for Central and Southeast Europe.
Vargha is a Canadian citizen and has over 20 years of experience in management consulting, working across continents, in the US, Canada and France. Among the high-profile projects he has worked on is leading a pan-European high-tech incubator, financed by Goldman Sachs in Paris, or working with Ipanema Technologies to rebuild the company’s marketing and sales functions.
“It is a great challenge for me to take this assignment in Romania, because I can build on the experience gained in advisory projects coordinated around the world. I have worked on assignments in Eastern Europe during the past 10 years and I have seen first-hand the potential this market has. I am, therefore, energized by the opportunity to further develop the Advisory practice at EY Romania”, explains Vargha Moayed.
Vargha holds a Bachelor degree in Commerce from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Montpellier and a Master degree in Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
“The Advisory market has diversified constantly during the recent years in Romania, reaching a higher level of sophistication of these services. Our Advisory Services practice has grown and consolidated over this time, winning major local clients and projects. In this context, I am confident that Vargha will contribute to further developing our Advisory Services practice and will successfully co-ordinate the multidisciplinary response to our clients’ complex needs.” says Bogdan Ion, Managing Partner EY Romania.
