Mr. Cox has over two decades of Executive Search expertise across the Banking, Financial Services, and Private Equity sectors in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. In 1996, he started his Executive Search career in London, focusing on the recruitment of senior-level Investment Banking and Asset Management professionals. In 2003, Mr. Cox moved to a leading Emerging Markets Executive Search firm where he expanded his geographical coverage to include Europe and the Middle East, whilst also adding responsibility for senior Private Equity placements to his portfolio. In 2007, he relocated to the firm’s new Dubai office where he was the Director for MENA, with responsibility for developing the firm’s Banking, Asset Management, Private Equity, and Sovereign Wealth Funds capacity for the region.
Mr. Cox subsequently joined one of the MENA region’s leading Executive Search firms, in which he was the Practice Head for Banking and Financial Services from 2011 to 2016, executing C-level assignments and advising financial services companies on Executive Search, board effectiveness, leadership assessment, and executive succession planning. During this period, he partnered with a number of leading MENA financial institutions as they built their Asia-Pacific product offerings in Hong Kong and Singapore. Prior to joining Pedersen & Partners, Mr. Cox was based in Hong Kong and served as the Director of the APAC Financial Services Practice for a global Executive Search and Consultancy firm.
