Every year, United Way Romania Foundation helps the vulnerable people to have a better life, through its education, integration into the labor market and health programs, Change begins with each one of us and it is only through the power of the many that we can help.

All the children have the right to education, regardless of the environment they were born in. However, in Romania, only a third of vulnerable children graduate primary school. If their parents struggle with everyday life, children’s education does not come as a priority. Without real opportunities and constant access to education, the majority of these children are at risk of becoming adults with economical difficulties, unable to support their families.

Through its education programs, United Way Romania prevents school dropout in poor urban and rural communities. The programs have an integrated approach, where actions are built around children's needs. Parents, teachers, volunteers and local NGOs are all part of the activities that focused on keeping the children in school and providing education and support for them.

In order to go to school, children from disadvantaged backgrounds need food, clothes, shoes, help to homework and extracurricular activities, among others. This is why we need your support, through redirection of 3.5% of the income tax.
