P3 Logistic Parks, the specialist owner, developer and manager of European logistics properties, has appointed Jean-Luc Saporito as Managing Director of the Italian platform that it expanded in July with its acquisition of 5 warehouses.
The 42-year-old French national joins P3 from Amazon, where he worked for two and half years overseeing the development of c. 190,000 m2 of new facilities in France and Italy as well as handling the asset management of c. 370,000 m2 of properties across Southern Europe. Prior to this, Saporito worked in Italy for Prologis as a senior development and property manager.
Ian Worboys, P3’s CEO, said: “Jean-Luc brings an impressive 16-year track record with him, making him a perfect fit with P3’s experienced team. His knowledge and insight of the Italian market will be invaluable after we strengthened our platform there this summer. It demonstrates that while P3’s pan-European platform may have doubled in size in the past 12 months, we have highly capable teams on the ground to deliver the best experience to our customers.”
Saporito, an engineer by training, worked on a variety of logistics and supply-chain projects for Vinci, Procter & Gamble and Hewlett Packard prior to studying at the top French business school INSEAD, from which he obtained his MBA in 2007.
He will be in charge of P3’s Italian platform, which comprises almost 230,000 m2 of logistics warehousing concentrated chiefly in the Milan region, the heartland of industry and business in Italy.
