You are invited at the Official opening for the trading session of the Bucharest Stock Exchange with the occasion of launching the Romanian Investor Relations Association, on November 27th, starting at 9:30. The event will take place at the headquarters of Bucharest Stock Exchange, 34-36 Carol bvd., 2nd floor, and will also symbolically mark the 23rd anniversary for the reopening of the stock exchange, after 50 years while the stock market in our country was suspended.
Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) along with some of the largest listed companies, companies with potential to become listed companies, fund managers and investor relations professionals (IR) founded the Romanian Investor Relations Association (ARIR), with the aim to provide existing and potential issuers with a platform for the development of IR professionals and to contribute to the implementation of best practices in investor communication and corporate governance. ARIR is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, founded by eleven representatives of the capital market, among which are BVB, ALRO, Franklin Templeton Management – Buch. Branch, Electromagnetica, Hidroelectrica, Nuclearelectrica, Teraplast, Transelectrica, Daniela Șerban, Tony Romani and Cosmin Raduta.
The opportunity of such a project comes in the context of increasing visibility of the Romanian capital market internationally in recent years, the recent listing of private companies and the ever-increasing interaction between investors and local companies. ARIR's objectives and strategy are part of the trajectory of the local capital market to achieve Emerging Market status and the efforts of all market actors to improve Romania's image in a regional and international context in order to attract foreign investors.
The event will be attended by officials from the diplomatic and political sphere, representatives of the founding members of the association, the community of brokers and analysts of the capital market, representatives of the business and press environment.
