Chambers Europe, the most reputed legal guide in Europe, reconfirms NNDKP’s professional leadership by recognizing it as “Law Firm of the Year in Romania”. Emil Bivolaru, partner in the Dispute Resolution department, accepted the award yesterday on behalf of NNDKP at the Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence gala in London. The event brought together the most prestigious law firms on the continent.

“Considering the rigor of Chambers & Partners’ research and the dialogue with our clients and competitors, we are honored that the acknowledgment from the business environment is reflected in the international legal community. Such distinctions complement the exceptional rankings received over the past twelve years from the top international legal guides – the real “barometer” of mature legal markets and the reference point for clients when evaluating legal services in a jurisdiction”, declared Emil Bivolaru after the award ceremony.

Moreover, NNDKP was ranked first in ten of the eleven practice areas researched in Romania by the Chambers Europe guide, launched yesterday: banking and finance; corporate/M&A; litigation; labor law; energy and natural resources; intellectual property; PPP projects; real estate transactions; restructuring/insolvency and fiscal consultancy. The firm was ranked second in competition law.

NNDKP is not only best ranked on the local market by practice area, but also had fifteen of its eighteen partners singled out in the “Leading individuals” section. In addition, Ion Nestor has once again received the highest distinction (“Senior Statesman”), after he was ranked as such in the global edition of the guide – another first on the Romanian legal market.

One of the world’s leading guides to the legal profession, Chambers Europe bases its year-long research on in-depth interviews with clients and peers in order to assess the reputation, expertise and technical skills of key lawyers. The qualities sought also include other qualities valued by the clients such as professional conduct, client service, commercial awareness, diligence and commitment.
