Starting with the 1st of July 2013, Mihaela Mitroi will become the new Tax and Legal Services Leader of PwC Romania, replacing Peter de Ruiter, which will remain Tax Partner with the Romanian firm. Mihaela will also coordinate the tax and legal activities of PwC in South-Eastern Europe, including Moldova, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Serbia, Albania and Bosnia.

Mihaela Mitroi joined PwC Romania in 1997 and in July 2004 became a Partner. She is widely experienced in both Romanian and international taxation, being involved in complex assignments such as restructuring, privatisation, tax compliance, tax optimisation schemes. She was also involved in consultations with the Ministry of Finance in order to improve the tax legislation. Mihaela has been involved in providing extensive advice to multinational corporations and local companies, advising on tax matters, due diligence assignments, as well as advising on privatisation issues. She has also been involved in advising individuals (Romanian nationals or expatriates) on personal tax matters.
Mihaela is a member of CECCAR (Romanian Institute of Accountants), of the International Fiscal Association and Board Member of the Romanian Chamber of Tax Consultants.
