UNICEF in Romania, the Step by Step Centre for Education and Professional Development (CEDP) Association and ReadyNation Romania are pleased to invite you to attend the third edition of the Conference on Early Childhood Education Promotion, on Wednesday, May 16th, 2018. The theme of this year's conference is: "The First 1,000 Days of the Next 100 Years. Early Childhood Education, a Chance for Romania's Competitiveness ".
The event aims to facilitate the dialogue among specialists, business representatives and institutional decision-makers in order to identify concrete ways of promoting investment in early childhood education, considering the social benefits for today and for the future.
Mark Alter, Professor of Educational Psychology at the prestigious New York University, and Paula Hunt, an international education expert and UNICEF consultant, are the international speakers of this year’s edition.
The business community worldwide has begun to support investment in early childhood education for competitiveness. This is because research on brain development reveals that most neural structures are formed by the age of five. Early childhood education, especially from birth to age five, is the foundation for a prosperous and sustainable society. James Heckman, the Nobel Laureate in Economics, has demonstrated that every dollar invested in early childhood education yields a return of $ 7, showing that the most cost-effective investments are in early childhood education.
We would be honoured by you attending our Conference. The event will be hosted at the National Bank of Romania, in the "Mitita Constantinescu" Hall, from 9.00 to 17.00 hours.
Please confirm your participation by May 5th, 2018.
