The changes that impacted the labor market in 2011 have determined most companies to look for new approaches when it comes to their workforce strategies. In line with these transformations, ManpowerGroup Romania has adapted its suite of solutions, in order to meet the expectations of its clients. The changes in Manpower’s strategy in 2011 have driven Manpower to 26.5 million Euros revenue, representing a 43% growth compared to the 2010 financial results (19 million Euros).

During 2011, ManpowerGroup Romania has once again proved its ability to reach valuable results, despite the discouraging climate in the local labor market and pessimistic economical trends.

As the global leader in innovative workforce solutions, ManpowerGroup Romania has placed over 6800 people in temporary assignments in 2011, representing a 73% growth in the number of candidates placed in the local labor market, compared to 2010.

2011 was one of the most dynamic years in the company’s history – ManpowerGroup has announced the beginning of a new age – the Human Age. According to this new reality, the potential of human resources will be the main agent stimulating economical growth, and finding the strategies to unleash this potential will be the main challenge companies will have to face.

Globally, ManpowerGroup set hit record revenue of $22 billion and record sales of $23 billion. This performance reflects a considerable growth in efficiency and productivity for the entire ManpowerGroup team, globally. Organizational excellence is mirrored in the distinctions granted to ManpowerGroup – the company was named, for the second year in a row, as one of the most ethical companies in the industry by the Ethisphere Institute, in recognition for its continuous engagement in responsible corporate practices – ethical leadership and social responsibility initiatives.

During 2011, ManpowerGroup has placed over 3.5 million people, in the 80 countries and territories it is present in. Nationwide, our consultants’ expertise continuously reflects in the way ManpowerGroup Romania values the human potential, placing a significant number of over 8000 people in temporary and permanent engagements.

Taking into account the major changes and challenges the post-recession labour market had to face, ManpowerGroup Romania has directed its efforts towards meeting the specific expectations of clients and interviewing more than 65.000 candidates, in order to identify the right talent – talent able to drive growth in companies Manpower has settled partnerships with in 2011.

„When looking at 2012, ManpowerGroup Romania anticipates significant improvement in the number of interim contracts, taking into account the current need for agility every business structure requires and the high specificity employers display when it comes to the talent they need to evolve. We continue to support the idea that Romania’s way out of the recession corner is the creation of new, chargeable jobs.”, said Valentin Petrof, ManpowerGroup Romania’s Country Manager.
