The law firm KPMG Legal – Toncescu si Asociatii SPARL has announced that Alexandru Mocănescu has been appointed as a new Partner and Head of the Real Estate and ESG Practices, starting from October 2021. At the same time, two internal promotions have taken place in key fields – Calin Dragoman becomes senior managing associate in the Litigation team and Dragos Iamandoiu in the Corporate and M&A team - reflecting the sustained consolidation of the firm in these critical areas.
Alexandru Mocănescu has worked for more than 12 years in prestigious law firms, coordinating work in numerous practice areas, such as competition law, litigation, energy and real estate – which became his true calling. He is a lawyer with dual competencies; He graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest, and he also followed a full-time MBA program at HEC Paris, specializing in strategy and finance. He continued his studies at the London School of Economics, from which he obtained a Certificate of Economy and Real Estate Finance. His focus will be on the Real Estate and ESG practices.
With a track record of successful projects, Alex joins a team of five partners, who work together to coordinate KPMG Legal – Toncescu si Asociatii’s main practice areas and to promote growth.
