Ionuţ Simion to be Appointed Country Managing Partner of PwC Romania

by PwC April 23, 2015

Starting with 1 July 2015, Ionut Simion will take over the Country Managing Partner position of PwC Romania, held for 11 years by Vasile Iuga, who will continue to be South East Europe Cluster Leader within the firm.

„I am very glad that Ionut Simion has been appointed in this very important position in the Romanian professional services market. It is an acknowledgement of his success and his exceptional professional evolution, which I have supported from the start and to which I had the pleasure to contribute. Ionuţ, together with Mihaela Mitroi (Tax and Legal Services Leader), Kenneth Spiteri (Assurance Services Leader) and Radu Stoicoviciu (Head of Advisory Services) form an extremely efficient management team. I am confident that they, as a team, have all the advantages to capitalise the current market opportunities and take the firm to a whole new level. I wish Ionut Simion the best of luck in his new position!” stated Vasile Iuga.

„I am extremely honoured, but also well aware of the great responsibility coming with the appointment as Country Managing Partner of PwC Romania. I would like to thank my colleagues for their trust and support and especially Vasile Iuga, who during his mandate managed to build an extremely powerful and prestigious team of consultants and has contributed in a fundamental way to the development of the consulting profession in our country. I start this new chapter at a time when both the global economy and the professional services sector change at Internet speed. My main objective is related to leadership in the market, for the firm as well as our clients, both in the private and public sectors.
We will continue to support them in their development and solving the problems they are faced with, contributing in the same time to consolidate a climate of trust in the Romanian business environment. I am glad to have next to me in this endeavour a team of professionals who have proven their value in numerous important projects”, said Ionuţ Simion.

Ionuţ Simion joined PwC Romania in 2000 and was appointed Tax and Legal Services Partner in 2007.
