As of February 2019, George Ureche returns to PwC as M&A Leader. In the past year, he was the CEO one of the largest media and entertainment groups in Romania.
George has a vast experience in the management of the two most important media groups in Romania - Antena TV Group and ProTV/Media Pro. He was responsible for the operational management of these companies, but also for their investment activities, transactions, financing, business restructuring as well as the management of EU financed projects.
He also worked in the M&A department of PwC Romania for more than 7 years, during which time he coordinated numerous deals and was involved in consulting projects for clients in various sectors such as media, IT, retail, transport and logistics, telecom, financial services, tourism, agriculture, energy and pharma.

George has a PhD in Statistics (obtained at the Romanian Academy) and an MBA from Telfer School of Management and the Academy of Economic Studies.
