GDF SUEZ Energy became majority shareholder of Congaz, by increasing its shareholding from 28.59% up to 85.77%. This transaction was announced at the end of last month and received a favorable endorsement from the Competition Council. GDF SUEZ Energy România purchased both the shareholding of OMV Petrom SA and the one held by E.ON Ruhrgas International.

During this transaction which also required the merger control clearance from the Competition Council, GDF SUEZ Energy was assisted by lawyers of Bondoc si Asociatii SCA.
