Fondul Proprietatea Unveils Rebranded Logo and Enhanced Website

by Franklin Templeton April 6, 2012

Franklin Templeton Investment Management Limited UK Bucharest Branch, in its capacity of Sole Director and Fund Manager of S.C. Fondul Proprietatea S.A. (“the Fund”) is delighted to announce today the rebranding of the Fondul Proprietatea logo as well as the unveiling of fund’s enhanced website www.fondulproprietatea.ro

Whilst keeping its Romanian identity, the rebranded logo has been designed to reflect the key principles guiding the Fund Manager’s efforts and highlights the positive attributes conveyed by the Fund Manager since it took over the fund on 29 September 2010. These attributes are:

  • working with integrity;
  • solid long-term performance;
  • active management; and
  • higher corporate governance standards.

The enhanced website has been re-structured to be more user-friendly and has an efficient sitemap structure to allow quick user access to information and updates about the Fund. It deploys a modern, refreshed design and has improved functionality, including integrated, dynamic fund data feeds and charting, as well as audio/video capabilities.

Greg Konieczny, Fund Manager of Fondul Proprietatea, commented: “The rebranded logo, underscores the refreshed image of Fondul Proprietatea, which has been managed by us for over one year and a half. It conveys Franklin Templeton’s commitment to shareholders through increased transparency, close alignment to shareholders’ interests and providing attractive investment returns over the long-term.”

He concluded: ”Importantly, the enhanced website will provide increased transparency and communication to shareholders, investors, media and the public at large, offering access to all relevant information about the Fund. In an effort to improve disclosure on the portfolio, the website now includes profiles of companies, given the large unlisted part of the Fund’s portfolio.”
