Ijdelea & Associates have successfully assisted Black Sea Oil & Gas and its co’venture partners, Petro Ventures and Gas Plus in relation to the obtaining of the Upstream Pipeline Operating License for the Midia Gas Development Project (MGD Project) from the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE).
This achievement is double first-to-market mandate in the Romanian legal landscape, being the first time ANRE issues this kind of license for three companies and also the first to be issued for a gas offshore pipeline, which reconfirms the excellent legal capabilities and execution skills of Ijdelea & Associates’ regulatory and energy team.
“The obtaining of this license was key for the commencement of MGD Project’s production on 15 June and unlocked the offshore gas production from new fields, opening the door to Romania’s security of supply and energy independence.
