Global law firm Dentons successfully assisted a multinational software company in a €11 million public procurement litigation in Romania related to a tender for hardware and software.
Dentons represented the client during the final stages of this public procurement dispute in front of the Bucharest Court of Appeal.
The team helped the client secure the award decision issued by the contracting authority. The Court of Appeal dismissed the counterparty’s arguments related to the application of award criteria to the bids submitted during the tender procedure.
Oana Voda, senior counsel and Head of the Public Procurement practice in Bucharest, led the team with support from Andrei Orbesteanu, senior associate within the Litigation practice.
“We salute the decision rendered by the Court of Appeal, which brings clarity on highly disputed aspects in the public procurement arena and also ensures much needed alignment with the case law issued by the national Council for Solving Complaints”, commented Oana Voda.
