​InterContinental Bucharest and Renaissance Art Gallery continue the series of painting exhibitions to promote young Romanian painters, at the Intermezzo Lobby Lounge, in the hotel lobby.

Starting 27^th February, the talented Alexandra Andone will expose 'Essentialism', a collection of vivid paintings inspired by the need of sense for existence, the search, the path, the symbols and the findings.

Alexandra Andone studied and works in Brand Creation and Communication field. She discovered her vocation for painting seven years ago when she was fortunate enough to spent four years in the studio of the famous Nicolae Maniu, studying the oil painting technique. During her art training, Alexandra had personal and group exhibitions in Romania (including two exhibitions with Nicolae Maniu), marking a consistent entrance on the art stage both in Bucharest but in her home town, Cluj. All Alexandra’s exhibitions had a huge success and won the public's sympathy due to her courageous and original topics always represented in vivid and strong colours.

“I paint because I’m always challenged by new ideas and how I should put them in practice. When I look at a painting, I see a window to another world - a new world. It is world that unveils itself and invites you to a journey beyond the wall where the painting hangs. A world where the stories are the witnesses of the events, where the trees talk, the wings are free and the colours simplify the forms. A world where the creation is new.”
