Digital Economy

The main objective of the AmCham Digital Economy Committee is to promote digital transformation as an anchor for increasing Romania's competitiveness through innovation and supporting economic growth. Leading priorities include: 

• Supporting a hybrid cloud model for the development of nation-wide cloud infrastructure facilitating data exchanges and interoperability and access to innovative solutions;  

• Advocating for the digitalization of public services and simplified interaction between the administration and taxpayers (ex. through the electronic identification and the eID card project); 

• Increasing digital skills in the public administration and in the society at large;  

• Ensuring resilience and security of data & services through advanced cybersecurity mechanisms; 

• Promoting the uptake of emerging solutions - automation & AI to increase the productivity and foster innovation.
