Colosseum Retail Park, developed by Nova Imobiliare SRL, reached 100% occupancy, by securing 1,300 sqm retail spaces for the Turkish retailer LC Waikiki. The transaction was negotiated by JLL, property manager of the project.

Beside LC Waikiki, in the last months, the project, managed by JLL since 2011, attracted 2 more important retailers: Sport Vision for 900 sqm and Pepco for 450 sqm. All three units will be open in Q4 2017.

Colosseum Retail Park has been open since 2011 and has 38,500 sqm of retail space. Situated in the North-West Bucharest, it provides easy access both to downtown and to the Northern Ring Road. The main tenants of Colosseum are Carrefour, Altex and Jysk, but also shops like Helpnet, Nedelya, Ideal Optic, 5asec, Animax, Inmedio, Arsis, Orange, Iqbox, FanGSM, Otto Broker, Corabia Piticilor or Pizza Bonita are accomodated in the retail park. DIY retailer Leroy Merlin has also a unit in Colosseum Retail Park.

With over 1.900 free parking places, a connection with the city through the 112 public transport bus line and with two free of charge dedicated transportation lines that link the center to Piata Chibrit and Chitila it remains popular with not only the surrounding neighbourhoods but also the whole of Bucharest. Metro stations were finalised this year on Bucurestii Noi Bvd., 10 minutes away at walking distance.

“Colosseum is a shopping destination and this new leasing to LC Waikiki, their 28th store in Romania, confirms the success of the project. Footfall numbers and the turnover reported by the retailers are increasing in 2017 for the sixth consecutive year, so Colosseum attracts 3.5 million visitors per year. These figures encouraged the tenants to open new stores in Colosseum Retail Park, which offers now an attractive tenant mix of retail, food and services units”, comments Mihai Dinu, Center Manager JLL.

LC Waikiki is a retail chain founded in France in 1988 and since 1997 is a Turkish brand under the umbrella of LC Waikiki Mağazacılık Hizmetleri Ticaret A.Ş. Today LC Waikiki trades in 804 stores in 36 countries, with the company’s philosophy that “Everyone Deserves to Dress Well” enabling people to enjoy accessible fashion through quality products at affordable prices.
JLL manages some real estate properties of almost 200,000 sqm, such as Swan Office & Technology Park, Liberty Center and also 9 industrial properties.

LC Waikiki currently operates 25 stores in Romania, in Bucharest and in the other cities.
