by Bayer August 8, 2017

Pascal Cassecuelle is the new Senior Bayer Representative for the Romania, Bulgaria and Republic of Moldova Country Group and Managing Director of Bayer Romania, adding up to his current responsibilities as Country Division Head Crop Science

Bucharest, August 8th, 2017 – As of August 1st, 2017, Pascal Cassecuelle takes over the lead of Bayer Romania, Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova from his predecessor Andreas Schremmer, who will continue his activity as CFO of Bayer Canada.

Pascal started his career as a sales representative in France in 1995, was then promoted to Country Division Head in Vietnam before becoming Crop Science Regional marketing APAC in 2002, located in Thailand. As of 2005 he held Portfolio Management responsibilities in Germany and later moved to Argentina, holding the position of Country Division Head for the Conosur cluster. Before his arrival to the Bulgaria/Moldova/Romania cluster, he was Head of the Environmental Science division for emerging markets.

„It is a time of change for Bayer, but we can look ahead with confidence, because our foundations are very solid. In the first half of 2017 we grew double digit in all three divisions, because of the quality of our innovation and the strength of the Bayer brand but first and foremost thanks to the engagement and dedication of our teams in Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova. It’s my personal belief that keeping our mission “Science for a Better Life” at the core of our priorities will sustain the performance that Bayer has today in the Country Group markets. We are excited to bring new solutions to Bayer customers in Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova”, he stated on the occasion of his new appointment.

Innovation as key priority

As a strong player in the Life Sciences field, Bayer is committed to fight the key challenges of today’s world in terms of food and health. This is reflected, at local level, into a high-end product portfolio, extensive communication and close attention paid to societal needs.

Sustainability & performance

Local operations of the Country Group reached a turnover of over 230 million EUR, out of which the Crop Science division has 54%, the Pharma division 34% and Consumer Health division 13%.
