Business Opportunities in the Republic of Moldova, Presented to Business Community in Bucharest - AmCham Romania and the U.S. Embassy Commercial Service Supported the Event as Partners

The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Romania, Moldovan Ministry of Economy and the Moldovan Investment and Export Promotion Organization (MIEPO) organized the Conference “Business Opportunities in the Republic of Moldova for American Business in Romania”. The event took place on February 21st, 2017 at Athénée Palace Hilton Hotel in Bucharest, in partnership with the Embassy of United States of America in Romania – US Commercial Service and the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Romania).

As associated member of the European Union, the Republic of Moldova benefits of financing from EU, USAID, World Bank, BERD, BEI and other international bodies. The investment and business opportunities the Republic of Moldova has to offer for Romanian and American companies, but also for other foreign companies, thanks to these financing sources, but not only was the key topic on the conference agenda. The initiative also provided participants with the valuable opportunity of face-to-face networking with potential business partners.

On the guest list were: H.E. Mr. Octavian Calmȋc, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy in the Republic of Moldova, H.E. Mr. Mihai Gribincea, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Romania, H.E. Mr. Hans Klemm, Ambassador of the United States of America to Romania, together with other representatives of key institutions such as Moldovan Ministry of Economy, Moldovan Investment and Export Promotion Organization (MIEPO), state-owned organizations and private companies in the Republic of Moldova. Leaders and members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham Romania) and other international business associations represented at local level i.e. Romanian Business Leaders – RBL rounded up the list of 150 participants.
