Livia Stan, one of the most reputed specialists in state aid legislation in Romania, has joined the PwC team

Since the beginning of this year, Livia Stan, former General Director in the Ministry of Public Finance and Secretary General in the Ministry of Health, has joined the PwC Romania team.

She will hold the position of Director in the Tax and Legal Services department and will be part of PwC’s Public Sector Services integrated team.

Livia Stan holds a Bachelor degree in law (2002) and a Master in eGovernance (2008), followed by post-graduate studies in urban management at Erasmus University in Rotterdam (2004). She has a significant expertise in the field of public-private partnerships, public procurement and European funds. Over the years, Livia Stan held various positions in the central public administration at the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of European Integration, Ministry of Public Finance and Ministry of Health.

Between 2011 and 2016, Livia was General Director of the General Directorate for State Aid, Unfair Practices and Regulated Prices within the Ministry of Public Finance, managing a portfolio of over 3 billion euro investments projects financed through state aid measures from the state budget, which will generate more than 25,000 new jobs nationwide. Between 2005 and 2011, she participated in the creation and coordination of the PPP Central Unit within the Ministry of Public Finance.
