According to IDC, in 2014, the IT services market in Romania reached 518.77 million dollars, registering an increase of 1.7% over the previous year
According to the latest market analysis published by International Data Corporation (IDC) for 2014, SIVECO ranks second place in IT Services Market ranking, with a market share of 6%.

The IDC market analysis draws the most complete picture of the Romanian IT services market and the market position of the 100 IT services providers operating in Romania.

Last year, SIVECO has maintained its position among the leading suppliers of IT services on the local market but also on the international market, by implementing integrated verticalized information systems and associated services dedicated to customers in all the key economic spheres.

Thus, to meet our customers' need for mobility we added new functionalities to the already existing solutions and launched new solutions based on the latest trends and latest technologies. Mobility has become a basic feature of SIVECO applications, designed and developed for Cloud and delivered as Software as a Service (SaaS). Mobility, along with Cloud, has the power to improve companies’ performance, making them more competitive. Having a constant position of over 10 years on the first places in the top IDC dedicated to the local IT services market, and benefiting of 23 years of expertise in the software industry, SIVECO responds to the market needs in a dynamic and flexible manner, implementing in 2014 solutions forecasted by the IT analysts.

In 2014, SIVECO placed a special emphasis on expanding its operations on foreign markets, by implementing effective eLearning, eHealth, eAgriculture, eCustoms, eGovernment and eBusiness solutions, having currently more than 1,500 customers in 27 countries of the European Union, Commonwealth of Independent States , Middle East and North Africa.

The projects implemented for different organizations of the European Commission, one of the most demanding but also more stable beneficiaries, have a major importance. SIVECO was the only Romanian company selected to provide IT services to the European Commission for a period of four years, under the framework contract ESP-DESIS III - the largest contract of the Commission in the IT field. Also, SIVECO provides services to the Publications Office of the European Union; European Aviation Safety Agency; Executive Agency for Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food and the Directorate General for Health and Consumers; Eurostat - European Union Institute for Statistics; EuropeAid Cooperation Office; European Investment Bank.

In 2014 SIVECO concluded several research and development projects, as a partner. One of the most significant projects is FP7 - CONCORDE - Development of Coordination Mechanisms during Different Kinds of Emergencies, which aims to develop coordination mechanisms used in various emergency situations.

Among the international reference projects in which SIVECO participated in 2014, we can mention the program for modernizing the education system in the United Arab Emirates, the introduction of a vast digital library for education in Malta and the collaboration with Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, in Kazakhstan. The company also contributed to the implementation of an eCustoms system in the Republic of Macedonia that offers economical operators multiple technical solutions for the electronic exchange of information with customs authorities, and greater flexibility in presenting customs declarations.

Considering the trends stressed by IT analysts, regarding 3rd platforms generation, for the internal market, SIVECO launched new range of products, SIVECOProject: Cloud that aims to support large companies and SMEs. This includes efficient applications for online training - AeL Cloud, document management – SIVADOC, and business administration - SIVECO Applications 2020 and business intelligence - SIVECO Business Analyzer.

In 2014, the IT services market in Romania totaled $518.77 million, representing a year-on-year growth of 1.7% in U.S. dollar terms. IDC expects spending on IT services in Romania to increase 1.9% year-on-year in 2015 and to expand at a CAGR of 2.9% across the five-year forecast period to total $597.10 million in 2019.
