AIR FRANCE KLM, Tarom and Banca Transilvania Launch BT Flying Blue

AIR FRANCE KLM, TAROM and Banca Transilvania launch “BT Flying Blue Card”

• A new travel bank card for the Romanian market;

• Enable Flying Blue members to earn Award Miles on their everyday purchases, which afterwards could be used to buy air tickets, duty-free goods and other attractive items;


Today, Banca Transilvania, AIR FRANCE KLM and TAROM are launching a co-branded credit card for the Romanian market: the BT Flying Blue Card.

This card, in response to customers’ expectations, will allow Flying Blue members to earn Award Miles by using the credit card for their daily purchases and will provide them with many benefits, spending them on airline tickets, duty-free goods and other attractive products.

The BT Flying Blue Card will be launched in two versions: Classic and Premium. The card will be available from 9 December 2014 at the Banca Transilvania headquarters in Bucharest and across the country.

A very special launch offer

The first 1,000 BT Flying Blue Card holders will benefit from a special launch offer. Instead of the standard welcome bonus they will receive 15,000 extra Award Miles for their first purchase with the BT Flying Blue Premium Card, or 10,000 extra Award Miles for their first purchase with the BT Flying Blue Classic Card.

15,000 Award Miles is enough for BT Flying Blue Premium cardholders to fly to any destination in Europe after their first purchase. BT Flying Blue Classic cardholders will be able to spend their 10,000 Award Miles welcome bonus on any domestic Romanian flight they like.

Details of the BT Flying Blue Card

BT Flying Blue Classic Card

With the BT Flying Blue Classic Card, Flying Blue members will receive 1,000 Award Miles on their first purchase. Members will earn 1.5 Award Miles per 4 lei spent on purchases with AIR FRANCE KLM and TAROM products or services, and on purchases abroad. Members will earn 1 Award Mile per 4 lei spent on purchases made in Romania. With the BT Flying Blue Classic Card, they can also pay in up to 3 instalments for purchases of AIR FRANCE KLM and TAROM products. The BT Flying Blue Classic Card also comes with free travel insurance.
BT Flying Blue Premium Card

With the BT Flying Blue Premium Card, Flying Blue members will receive 2,000 Award Miles on their first purchase. Members will also earn 2 Award Miles per 4 lei spent on purchases with AIR FRANCE KLM and TAROM products or services, and 2.5 Award Miles on purchases abroad. Members will earn 1.5 Award Miles per 4 lei spent on purchases made in Romania. With the BT Flying Blue Premium Card, they can also pay in instalments for purchases of AIR FRANCE KLM and TAROM products. The BT Flying Blue Premium Card also comes with free travel insurance and airport lounge access.
