The awards were granted for eBanking, eAgriculture and Enterprise Resource Planning projects

In London, they spoke Romanian yesterday! The European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2013 jury decided to award SIVECO team with 3 prizes for the projects developed at the Payments Agency for Rural Development and Fisheries, the National Bank of Moldova and ACET Suceava, respectively.

64 companies from 15 countries entered the competition finals. SIVECO Romania received no less than 5 nominations for as many successful implementations of its solutions in eLearning, eAgriculture, Enterprise Resource Planning and eBanking fields. At the awarding ceremony Gala held Wednesday night, at Hotel Lancaster in London, SIVECO Romania set a new record in this competition which recognizes best practices in IT.

"It was a great pleasure for me to be invited three times on the Awards Gala ceremony stage, in order to receive on behalf of SIVECO Romania the three trophies. I thank all my colleagues who have worked passionately in all the projects, both those nominated and those that were awarded the Winner title in their entrance categories. Having received three awards in a large scale competition that recognizes excellence in IT reconfirms us that what we do at SIVECO has value at international level. We are the only Romanian company which was awarded and the only European company triple laureate. For several hours the Romanian language was spoken in London and I was very proud of it", declared Radu Jugureanu, AeL eContent Manager SIVECO Romania, immediately after the awards ceremony.

“The judges had a tough job deciding on the winners of this edition. There were nearly double the number of entries this year, all of a very high quality. The most successful company at the awards was SIVECO Romania, which was awarded with no less than 3 prizes. Winning in 3 categories is an exceptional achievement and shows the skill and dedication of the SIVECO team involved in the solutions they entered for the awards. The fact that SIVECO went home with 3 trophies against such a tough competition from all over Europe should bring a lot of satisfaction and pride to the entire team”, declared John Chapman, Editorial manager at IT Europe.

At the Vertical Market Solution of the Year category, the jury selected the information system developed for the National Bank in Moldova. This had as main objective the development of a new financial reporting model from commercial banks towards the central bank, which is based on XBRL format, being thus aligned to the European standards in the area.

At the ERP/Supply Chain Management Solution of the Year category, SIVECO received the trophy for successful implementation of the integrated information system SIVECO Applications at ACET Suceava, the regional operator that manages the water supply and sewage public services in 1 headquarter and 7 agencies and also the exploitation of related water supply and sewage public systems. The project was appreciated by the jury for the manner in which it contributed to making ACET Suceava activities more efficient and to building strong relationships between the company and its final customers.

At the Government Solution of the Year category, the jury awarded a project with major impact on the Romanian economy: namely, the IT system with national coverage implemented at the Payments Agency for Rural Development and Fishery. The System for Processing Requests for Rural Development was appreciated by the jury for supporting the diversification of the economic activities and increase of quality of life in rural areas, according to EU norms. Over the past 5 years, Romanian villages have attracted over 5.18 billion euro from European and national funds schemes by means of the IT solution developed by SIVECO.
