Business Meets Culture: Why is Art so Bloody Important?

Sep 17, 2019

AmCham Romania is pleased to invite members to a new Business Meets Culture event on September 17, between 18:30 – 20:30, when Mr. Horia Roman Patapievici, Artmark President will answer the important question Why Art Really Matters?

The event will be hosted by Artmark (Cesianu-Racoviță Palace on 5 C.A. Rosetti Street, Bucharest).

Why Art Really Matters?

What is strange about art is that it matters even when it isn’t named art or considered as such. It’s not the name or the prestige or the market that consecrates as art what we nowadays (five centuries already) call art. And even snobbery, indecent wealthy acquisitions or haute-couture kind of sham art cannot disturb us —we commoner, common sense and intelligent people— from being intrigued, moved and questioned by meaningful art. This lecture will explain why.

The lecture will be followed by a networking cocktail so participants will continue to exchange views on business and arts in the fascinating premises, art itself and home to beautiful art that is the Cesianu-Racoviță Palace.

Courtesy of Gitana Winery you will enjoy tasting complex and elegant wines.

The Gitana wines represent a harmonious combination of the generosity of nature and the human labor. It is the result of the Dulgher family’s passion for wine production alongside an exceptional terroir. Gitana is a symbol of the confluence of tradition and modernity, a return to origins, withal a look to the future, marking a milestone in the rebirth of Moldovan wines.

Join us for a special evening and encounter with art!

The discussions will be held in Romanian.

Registration closed.
