Specific regulations on tax incentives related to activities and projects in Innovation and Research & Development (R&D) have been fully in place in Romania at the beginning of 2017.

The objective of the authorities was – and still is – to encourage activities in this field of Innovation and R&D, for which Romania is far behind other EU countries. The incentive consists in additional profit tax deduction, which may lead to substantial savings for Romanian tax payers.

The field of application of this tax facility is available to a much wider range of companies you may think.
