Mastering Compliance - UTI’s case study

AmCham Romania is pleased to invite members to a new workshop within the AmCham Learning & Innovation Center offered by UTI Grup on November 8, 2018, between 15:00 and 17:00.

Overview:

In a changing world, UTI is committed to focus on driving ethics to the center of its business and has gone through an elaborate ethical transformation of its internal bylaws and processes.

In 2016, the Board of Directors set up a through external and internal examination of the ethical principles and practices underlying the company’s business, meant to identify areas for further improvement that the company should address in order to be recognized as a leader in ethical business conduct.

Following the report of the external experts, UTI initiated an extensive program to address the recommendations included in the report whose implementation was completed in May 2018 and was followed by a comprehensive audit performed by an international certification body, PECB (Canada).

The audit concluded that UTI GRUP and its affiliated companies have a solid business conduct program that relies on the international best practices, but also identified some opportunities for improvement that have been incorporated into the company’s ongoing business conduct program.

About the facilitator:

Razvan Petrescu has been CEO of the Board of Directors of UTI Grup since November 2015. Besides the business development and strategic objective management, Razvan also coordinates all legal and compliance issues relating to the company’s operations. Prior to being the company’s CEO, Razvan was Head of the Legal Department. A graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, Razvan specialized in Community Law and has extensive experience in designing and implementing effective legal solutions related to project structuring, financing, development and operation.
