The American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham Romania) emphasizes current challenges that affect the investment climate in the Romanian energy sector and which may turn into long-term negative impact on the security and competitiveness of this strategic pillar of the national economy.
In the context of the massive capital flows required by the structural transformations related to the energy transition, AmCham underscored the negative signals that discourage investment, such as bottlenecks in primary legislation or the lack of transparent, objective and competitive procedures for national selection of projects and investments eligible for accessing European financial instruments such as the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.
